5th July - Table Top Sale
Friends of Milton Hall Baptist Church in Lorne
Street, Kidderminster, are holding a Table-Top and Jumble
Sale on Saturday, July 5th, starting at 10.00am. There will
be Household Items; Bric-a-Brac; Clothing; Toys; Books;
Homemade Cakes; etc.Tea, Coffee and Biscuits will also be
available.
5th July - Clothes Sale
The National Child Birth Trust Charity (NCT) ate
holding a quality nearly new clothing equipment & toy
sale. Its on Saturday 5th July from 2pm to 3.30pm, at Stourport
High School on Minster Road.
5th July - Summer Show
The Kidderminster Horticultural Society will be
holding their Summer Show at the Holy innocents Community
Centre, Foley Park on Saturday July 5th. The show will be
open to the public at 11 am. Fruit, vegetables domestic
and floral art classes will be on show. There will also
be a plant sale, a raffle and a sale of produce will take
place at 2pm. Light refreshments will also be available
at reasonable prices.
5th July - Summer Fete
St Peters Church, Birchen Coppice are having a Summer Fete
on Saturday 5th July From 10am - 2pm. There are many items
of interest such as home made cakes, Jams, Crafts as well
as a raffle with many wonderful prizes.
There will be Strawberry Teas, as well as tea, coffee ,
soft drinks and other refreshments. St Peters Church are
very keen for you to come along and meet them as they are
involved in many out reach projects. All are welcome so
goalong to St Peters Church, Meredith Green, Birchen Coppice.

5th July - Community Fayre
St Bartholomew’s Primary School, which is
in Areley Kings, Stourport, is having a community fayre
on the afternoon of Saturday 5th July 2008, between the
hours of 12 – 3pm. Lots of stalls including Face Painting,
Cake decorating, Badge Making, Teddy and chocolate Tombola,
Hook a Bag, Henna tattoos, Cracker Eating, BBQ & Refreshments,
Dancers and Live Band To name but a few. Guaranteed to be
a fun family afternoon for all!
6th July - Open Gardens
10 gardens are open in Kidderminster and Stourport
in aid of 3 local charities.
Noah's Ark Trust, Forest Dog Rescue, and the Severn Area
Rescue Association. The gardens will be open from 11.30
AM to 5.30 PM. Tickets are available from John Beard, Market
Street Kidderminster or ring Sue Cooke on 01562 631 001,
or Louise Aston on 01562 69115 to find the nearest garden
open to you. The cost per ticket is £3.50 to see all
10 gardens.
11th July - Fun Day
A Pre-school fun day for children aged 2 to school
age is taking place at BARNABEES NURSERY - Opposite St Barnabas
Church. A Bouncy Castle, face painting, tombolas, hook a
duck, cakes and lots more, come and see the nursery on Woverley

12th July - Nearly New Sale
A Nearly New Sale of quality Childrens, Baby and
Maternity clothes, equipment and toys for ages 0 to 11 is
taking place on Saturday 12th July, from 11 am - 1 pm, at
Hallow Parish Hall, Hallow. Entrance is 50p. 60% of the
money goes to the seller, 40% of the money goes to Hallow
Playgroup. Volunteer for the day and get 70% return on your
sale items, lunch, drinks, and a rewarding social day. More

The South Pole Race
James Abbott is looking for funding as he and his
team mates need to raise £126,000 for the entry fee
for the "South Pole Race" in December. James is
doing it for St Richards hospice in Worcester and his team
member for Marie Curie in York. It is the first race to
the South Pole since Scott and Amundsen nearly 100 years
ago. Ben Fogle and James Cracknell are one of six British
teams racing the Norwegian teams and James will be racing
them all too. The team will be pulling 220 lb pulks 450
miles tackling crevasses, a minus 50 degrees a climb up
on to the plateau at 9300ft and frost bite. They have been
to the North Pole and can't wait! Any team in front or just
behind will be filmed for their fly on the wall documentary.

Bodenham Arboretum
Is a collection of almost 3000 trees set in 156
acres of North Worcestershire countryside with 11 pools,
four miles of footpaths and a working farm. In addition
there is an award-winning Visitor Centre set in the hillside
overlooking the Big Pool.
They are open this summer: Wed to Sun, 11am – 5pm
and till 9.30pm Thursdays. Also open Bank Holiday Mondays.

Noah's Ark Trust
Now has its first Textile Recycling Bank at the
Co-Op supermarket in Stourport. You can donate unwanted
clothes and textiles to be recycled, with all proceeds to
Noah's Ark Trust, supporting bereaved children, young people
and their families in Worcestershire. They are always on
the lookout for locations for new banks, so if you have
one in mind, call 01905 745 735.
Live Wyres
Are a social singles group offering activities
to single people over 40. Activities range from dance nights,
quizzes and walks to holidays. They are a non profit making
organisation and meet at different places within North Worcestershire

Wyre Forest Animal Trust
Is a local charity whose main aim is to assist in the cost
of neutering cats and dogs of people on low incomes. They
also resuce unwanted pets and sick, orpahned or injured
wildlife. If you can help in any way, eg fostering a dog
or cat, bric a brac for fundraising, old mobile phones etc,

Mobile Phones
Do you have an old mobile phone that you no longer use?
Why not put it to good use with the Rainbow Trust to help
raise funds for families with a child who has a life threatening
disease or illness. The trust receive £3.50 for every
phone they receive, no matter how brick like! If you would
like to donate and recycle your old phone, contact Louise

Talking Newspaper
Do you know of anyone who is visually impared who would
benefit from a talking newspaper? Run by a team of local
volunteers on a weekly basis, the service is free including
return postage after use. Full of local news and entertainment,
you can also receieve a playback unit if required. If you

Old Clothes
Do you have unwanted clothes gathering dust? The M&S
and Oxfam Clothes Exchange is designed to encourage people
to recycle their unwanted clothes by donating them to Oxfam.
Customers making a donation of M&S clothes to one of
Oxfams 790 stores nationwide will recieve a £5 voucher
to use at Marks and Spencer. More details instore.
Stourport and Kidderminster Sea Cadets
A re looking for new cadets, leaders and management committee.
Full training, uniform and kit is provided. CRB checks for
leaders and committee are also free. They meet every Thursday
from 7pm at the Cadet Unit, Lion Hill, Stourport. If you

Are seeking new and enthusiatic volunteers to get involved
