107.2 The Wyre provides a mix of
classic hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Pre-70s tracks, 00s
and current/re-current hits will also feature.
News and comprehensive local
information of specific interest to local
listeners will be included frequently and regularly across
daytime hours via hourly local news bulletins (at least during
peak time, as defined above) and a weekday extended news magazine
programme. At other times, a national service will be broadcast
regularly and frequently.
Speech content will not fall below 25% of peak time output.
The service must be based within the licence area and all
output from 0600-1900 Monday-to-Friday and 0700-1400 at weekends
will be live.
Character of Service
A locally
focused music, news and information service for 25-54 year-olds
in the Kidderminster area.
Definitions
Speech:
“Speech” excludes advertising, programme/promotional
trails & sponsor credits, and may be calculated over any
four hours.
Music Percentages:
Any music percentages are calculated as a percentage of the
total tracks broadcast in the period specified.
Peak time(s):
“Peak time(s)” refers to Weekday Breakfast and
Afternoon Drivetime output. Daytime “Daytime”
refers to 0600 to 1900 weekdays, and weekend output from 0800
to 1400.
Locally produced/presented:
Production and presentation from within the licence area.
All requirements for locally
produced/presented output must include peak time.
